William P. Donohue, Jr.
William "Bill" Donohue, a real estate veteran with decades of multi-sector experience in property investment, development and management, leads Teton Capital Co., overseeing all firm projects and spearheading business development and innovation. Bill’s introduction to the senior housing sector began in the early 1990s as the founding statistician and co-author of The State of Seniors Housing, a seminal research effort to provide much-needed industry-specific market, financial and operational data and analysis to operators, investors, developers and lenders. Originally intended to encourage capital investment in a nascent asset class, this annually published industry snapshot now collects and compiles performance data from almost 1,800 market rate U.S. senior living communities compromising over 225,000 housing units.
Prior to forming Teton Capital Company, Bill was with Grosvenor Fund Management, an international real estate investment management firm, where he served on its investment committee, was head of U.S. asset management and the portfolio manager of a North American healthcare fund. A graduate of Princeton University, Bill also earned an M.B.A. degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
A native of Long Island, Bill has lived in Connecticut for over 30 years, where he works with municipalities to create senior housing developments that expand housing diversity and opportunity.
